PEPPER is a new independent publication documenting Black trans life in real time.

Established through intimacy and collaboration, it is rooted in a growing community of Black trans women working across fashion, music, art, nightlife, poetry, and culture. PEPPER brings these worlds together to create a living archive that honours, celebrates, and records Black trans life on our own terms.

Black trans women have been pivotal in shaping fashion, nightlife, beauty, and culture for decades. Yet their contributions are rarely documented with ownership, depth, or permanence. PEPPER exists to help bridge that gap with intention and care.

As a trans-led platform, we function as both publication and infrastructure, creating opportunities, documenting histories, and reinvesting in our own community.

We are not introducing these women.
We are acknowledging them.
